Modern science has worked wonders. It has brought about far-reaching changes in every walk of life. Great indeed are they blessings of science. It has increased human comfort and given him great powers.

Science has invented various means of swift communication that are very useful for us in our everyday life. Time and distance have been conquered and travelling has become a pleasure. Railways have made travelling swift, safe and comfortable. The aeroplanes are being used for travel and transport.

Man can now fly like birds. He can now go around the world in no time. The globe has thus shrunk and the entire world has become like a small family. Sea voyages have now become perfectly safe and have lost all their terrors. The world is fast turning into a global village.

Science has invented a number of machines, which are very useful for man in his every day life. They lift weights for him, plough his fields, cook his food and also serve him in thousand different ways. They invention of such machines, as save human time and drudgery, is a great blessing for mankind.

The greatest blessing of science are  its inventions in the field of medicine and surgery. Human pain and suffering has been conquered and the expectancy of life has increased. Science has invented a number of wonderful drugs as penicillin, streptomycin, etc., that are very useful in every day life.

X-ray is the window through which we can get a peep into the inside of our body. Huge operations can now be performed and broken limbs get right without any pain. Different parts fo the body can now be replaced by the artificial one. Atomic energy is also being used in curing various diseases.

Science has added to human comfort in various ways. With electricity man has turned night into day and he can carry on his work with perfect ease even at nigh. Fans and air conditioners provide cool breeze in summer. Heaters are used to heat the rooms in the biting cold of winter. There are several scientific inventions which are a source of recreation. Cinema is a cheap means of entertainment, TV, VCR and dish antenna and cable TV, make ones leisure delightful.

Computer is one of the modern wonders of science. It is an extension of human brain and its utility in everyday life providing speed and comfort in performing different functions.
