The precious things in the darkness of night - SMUGGLING - part one

SMUGGLING - PART ONE
  • Smuggling means the illegal and secret transportation of goods or people into or out of a country.
  • Smugglers have become influential in our society.
  • Customs official are unable to check their activities.
  • If they are arrested somehow, they use the power of money to rescue themselves.
  • They are mercilessly spoiling the youth by drugs smuggling and destroying the economy of our country.
  • Officials and individuals should play an honest part to save the country from this evil.
Smuggling is a crime of taking, sending or bringing goods secretly and illegally into or out of a country. Though smuggling is a very old practice, it is increasing tremendously day by day. There is no effective check on this growing menace because there is lack of political will. In spite of anti-smuggling departments and squads. It has affected the rank and file of the administration. Therefore, smugglers have become patrons of political parties. They provide large resources to politicians.

Mostly a thing which is cheaper in our country, is smuggled out to another country where its price is high. Generally, transportation of such things is restricted by law but smugglers continue their business. They smuggle the precious things in the darkness of night or even in the broad daylight. The smugglers are very clever, they smuggle goods by hiding them in different ways. The customs officials find it a hard nut to crack to locate them.

Sometimes smugglers are arrested and punished severely. But the money has such a charm for some people as they do not mind to be caught. Punished or even killed. On the other hand they use the magic power of money and bribe the government officials to make themselves free. Unfortunately they have their companions in every walk of life. They come to their rescue by using fair of foul means.
