Lovelist of trees, the cherry now

LOVELIEST OF TREES, THE CHERRY NOW

Loveliest of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom along the bough
And stands about the wood land ride
Wearing white for Easter tide.

No, of my three score years and ten
                               Twenty will not come again,
And take from seventy Springs a score,
It only leaves me fifty more.

And since to look at things in bloom
Fifty Springs are little room,
About the wood land I will go
To see the cherry hung with snow.

THEMES...

The beauty of nature, especially of cherry is captivating. But life is too short to relish it. Even fifty years are not enough time to enjoy it fully. The poet says that one should not miss any chance of enjoying the bloom of the loveliest of tree', the cherry, in the woods in all seasons.
