RECONNECT WITH NATURE - PART ONE

On December 10th, 2011 in Durban, South Africa the world saw yet another climate change conference end with no agreement among world leaders on tackling the environmental problems. No firm commitment was received on their part to address global warming or the uncontrolled carbon emissions which is taking our Earth to the brink of destruction.

We witnessed the same results in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2009 and again in 2010 in Cancun, Mexico. So why is it that no one takes what is happening to our environment seriously when science provides abundant evidences about the damaging consequences that awaits our earth if no remedial actions are taken.

We  continue to refuse to accept the dangers this world faces due to our actions. What makes us so insensitive that we cannot agree on issues that will affect all of us and we continue to overlook the impending dangers we face. Among the many reasons we come across, the most important one is that we have become disconnected from the natural world. Nature is seen as something to be controlled and dominated, rather than to be love...
